Letter 2

There are all these reports out that detail the health benefits of eating chicken. It’s often a huge part of the regimen for models in magazines and on TV. All of the reports mention how children love chicken. They can’t get enough. They say it keeps you young. There never seems to be a shortage of chicken, and it also seems true that every old person would rather eat something else. I was driving home on the interstate the other day and saw a truck full of chickens. There must have been three to four, or five of them to a cage. They were all huddled up, each of them staring through the bars, but no one was going to mourn for them there except those with the wrong idea. I’m trying to find a venue for myself. When I was young, I wanted to be just like the leading men on television and in the movies, the ones who make the same impression when looked at straight on and in profile. Everyone seemed to admire them. Tell me, Mr. Hen, where exactly have you managed?
