Ada Limón is the author of five critically acclaimed collections of poetry, including The Carrying (Milkweed Editions, 2018), which was among Publishers Weekly’s best books of 2018 and a finalist for the PEN/Jean Stein Book Award; and Bright Dead Things (Milkweed Editions, 2015), a finalist for the 2015 National Book Award in Poetry, the 2017 Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award, and the 2015 National Book Critics Circle Award, and was listed as one of the top 10 poetry books of 2015 by The New York Times. Other books include Sharks in the Rivers (Milkweed Editions, 2010), Lucky Wreck (Autumn House Press, 2006), and This Big Fake World (Pearl Editions, 2006). She serves on the faculty of the low-residency MFA program at Queens University of Charlotte and the 24PearlStreet online program at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown.
