Robert Froese is the author of four novels: The Origins of Misgiving (2009), A Dark Music (2006), and The Forgotten Condition of Things (2001), all from Flat Bay Press, and The Hour of Blue (North Country Press, 1990). His stories have appeared in Ascent, The Catch, Prick of the Spindle, and Sonora Review. Now retired, he taught creative writing and film in the University of Maine at Machias.
