Accompanying “Elegy with an Angel at Its Gate,” we present four working drafts of the poem linked from the thumbnail views above. It is impossible to guarantee that these drafts are arranged chronologically; nevertheless, we hope to provide a glimpse into Larry Levis’s mind and process as he wrote, revised, and edited his work.
