Phil May images and text are available courtesy the Internet Archive and Google Books where many of his books and Phil May Annuals can readily be found in digital form, along with some work for periodicals.

The Internet Archive, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, is building a digital library of Internet sites and other cultural artifacts in digital form. Like a paper library, we provide free access to researchers, historians, scholars, and the general public.

By December, the [Google] Book Search interface is available in over 35 languages, from Japanese to Czech to Finnish.  Over 10,000 publishers and authors from 100+ countries are participating in the Book Search Partner Program.  The Library Project expands to 28 partners, including seven international library partners: Oxford University (UK), University of Complutense of Madrid (Spain), the National Library of Catalonia (Spain), University Library of Lausanne (Switzerland), Ghent University (Belgium) and Keio University (Japan).

Blackbird is grateful to both entities, and for like efforts by non-profits and universities to digitize out-of-copyright print materials for research and rediscovery.  end of text
