On March 19, 2015, also in the Visiting Writers Series, Jennifer Grotz read poems from her forthcoming book, Window Left Open (Graywolf Press, 2016). She read as well from translations of work by French poet Patrice de la Tour du Pin, some of which originally appeared in Blackbird and which are collected in her book Psalms of All My Days (Carnegie Mellon University Press, 2013). Grotz is the author of two other collections, The Needle (Houghton Mifflin, 2011) and Cusp (Houghton Mifflin, 2003), which received the prestigious Bakeless Prize in 2003.
