On April 13, 2016, VCU’s Visiting Writers Series hosted a nonfiction reading by Dinty W. Moore at the Scott House. Moore read from his latest collection of essays, Dear Mister Essay Writer Guy: Advice and Confessions on Writing, Love, and Cannibals (Ten Speed Press, 2015). Moore has published several books of nonfiction, and his memoir Between Panic & Desire (Bison Books, 2010) won the National Book Prize for Nonfiction.
