Lauren Barbato’s fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in The Hopkins Review and Cosmonauts Avenue, and her nonfiction in Cosmopolitan, Ms., and elsewhere. She has received support from the Sewanee Writers’ Conference, the Community of Writers at Squaw Valley, and the New York State Summer Writers Institute. She earned an MFA in creative writing and fiction at Rutgers University–Newark, where she teaches writing.
