Works by Song-yi Kim have appeared in many exhibitions,
both in her native Korea and in galleries in the United States.
Her solo exhibition "© 1999 Things," a surrealistic
and ironic interpretation of everyday objects, appeared at Gallery
Boda in Seoul in 1999. She has been featured in articles in Art
and Maison. Kim holds BFA and MFA degrees in crafts from
Seoul National University and is currently a candidate for a second
MFA, in sculpture, from Virginia Commonwealth University. Much of
her work is an exploration, through digital filming and printing,
of "the wicked and humorous story of the self in daily life."
