Emily Mitchell is the author of a collection of short stories, Viral (W.W. Norton, 2015), and a novel, The Last Summer of the World (W.W. Norton, 2007). Her short fiction has appeared in Harper’s, Ploughshares, The Sun, Alaska Quarterly Review, and elsewhere. Her nonfiction has appeared in The New York Times, the New Statesman, and Guernica. She has received fellowships from Yaddo, the Ucross Foundation, and the Virginia Center for Creative Arts. She serves as fiction editor of the New England Review and teaches in the MFA program at University of Maryland.
