Edward Byrne has published five collections
of poetry, including Tidal Air (2002) and East of
Omaha (1997),
both from Pecan Grove Press; Words Spoken, Words Unspoken (Chimney
Hill, 1995), Along the Dark Shore (BOA, 1977), and
the chapbook The Return to Black and White from Tidy-Up
Press. His poetry has also
appeared widely in literary journals, including the American
Literary Review, The American Poetry Review, The
American Scholar, The Carolina
Quarterly, The Literary Review, The Missouri
Review, North American
Review, Quarterly West, and Southern Humanities
Review. He is a
professor of American literature and creative writing at Valparaiso
University.
