| Molly Giles teaches in the Creative Writing Program at the  University of Arkansas and is the author of a novel, Iron Shoes (Simon & Schuster, 2000), and two short story  collections. She won the Small Press Award for Short Fiction for her collection Creek Walk and Other Stories (Papier-Mache Press, 1996), which was later issued by  Scribner in paperback, and the Flannery O’Connor Award for Short Fiction for Rough Translations (University of  Georgia Press, 1984).
