On Wednesday, February 4, 2015, Nell Draper-Winston, sister of photographer Louis Draper was invited by the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts to speak to the life and work of her brother, New York photographer (and Richmond native) Louis Draper. The VMFA video above is a compression of a much longer Conversation with Nell Draper-Winston that appears in this issue as a transcription with embedded images.
Briget Ganske is a videographer at Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. She earned her EdM in Arts in Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and her BA in creative writing from Northwestern University She also earned her Documentary Photography Certificate from The Salt Institute for Documentary Studies.
