Matthew Pitt is the author of two fiction collections: These Are Our Demands (Engine Books, 2017), a Midwest Book Award winner; and Attention Please Now (Autumn House Press, 2010), winner of the Autumn House Fiction Prize. His stories have appeared in Cincinnati Review, Conjunctions, Oxford American, and The Southern Review. He is the recipient of honors from the Bronx Arts Council, the Mississippi Arts Commission, the William Faulkner Society, the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, the Sewanee Writers’ Conference, and the Taos Writers Conference. Pitt is an associate professor and the director of English undergraduate studies at Texas Christian University.
