G. C. Waldrep's manuscript Goldbeater's Skin won the 2003 Colorado Prize for Poetry (judged by Donald Revell) and will appear in December. Individual poems have appeared in Poetry, The Gettysburg Review, American Letters & Commentary, Tin House, and other journals. He is also the author of a nonfiction book, Southern Workers and the Search for Community (Illinois, 2000). Currently he divides his time between North Carolina and Iowa.
