C. Dale Young is the author of The Day Underneath the Day (TriQuarterly Books/Northwestern, 2001), which was a finalist for the 2002 Norma Farber First Book Award from the Poetry Society of America. The Second Person, a new collection of poems, is forthcoming from Zoo Press in 2005. A recipient of the Grolier Poetry Prize, a Tennessee Williams Scholarship in Poetry from the Sewanee Writers' Conference, and the Stanley P. Young Fellowship in Poetry from the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference, he practices medicine in the San Francisco Bay Area and serves as poetry editor of New England Review. He is a member of the faculty for the 2004 Catskill Poetry Workshop. Young's work has appeared in The Best American Poetry 2002, The New Republic, The Paris Review, Ploughshares, Poetry, and elsewhere.
