Jennifer Dickinson received her BA from Hollins University. "Violet" is an excerpt from her novel-in-progress, The Night Edith Didn’t Die, and is her first published piece. The recipient of a grant from the Money for Women/Barbara Deming Memorial Fund, she lives in the Los Angeles suburb of Silver Lake.
