Rebecca Black’s first collection of poems, Cottonlandia (University of Massachusetts, 2005), won the 2004 Juniper Prize. Individual poems have been published in Poetry, The Virginia Quarterly Review, Colorado Review, Bellingham Review, The Missouri Review, and other journals, as well as Poetry Daily. Black is at work on a second collection of poems, as well as a collection of essays concerning the civil rights movement in her hometown of Albany, Georgia. A former Wallace Stegner fellow, she teaches at Santa Clara University and lives in San Francisco.
