David Roby

David Roby is a playwright, actor and director. He holds a BFA in acting from the University of North Carolina, and an MFA in acting from Illinois State University. He is the recipient of the 2005 Jean Kennedy Smith Playwriting Award. He was the 2008 Walter E. Dakin Fellow in playwriting and the 2009 Tennessee Williams Scholar at Sewanee Writers’ Conference. He has been a Visiting Playwright Fellow at Endstation Theatre, and is the 2010–2012 Tennessee Williams Playwright-in-Residence at Sewanee: The University of the South.  end
