Alexander Lumans’s fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in Story Quarterly, Black Warrior Review, The Cincinnati Review, and American Short Fiction, among other journals, and has been anthologized in Surreal South ’11 (Press 53), and The Book of Villains
(Mint Hill Books, 2011). He won the 2011 Barry Hannah Prize for Fiction, and received a 2010 Tennessee Williams Scholarship from the Sewanee Writers’ Conference and a fellowship from The MacDowell Colony. Lumans received his MFA in creative
writing from Southern Illinois University–Carbondale.
