John Bresland’s audio essays have aired on Weekend America; his video essays have appeared in Ninth Letter and Wag’s Revue. His print essays have been published in North American Review and Brevity and have been anthologized in Fourth Genre: Contemporary Writers of/on Creative Nonfiction (Longman, 2011) and Essayist on the Essay: Montaigne to Our Time (University of Iowa Press, 2012). Bresland is the recipient of the 2006 Tamarack Award and a Ludwig Vogelstein Foundation fellowship. He is an Artist-in-Residence at Northwestern University.
