Hope Maxwell Snyder’s poems have appeared in Alehouse Press, The Comstock Review, The Gettysburg Review, The Poetry Society of America, OCHO, 32 Poems, and other journals. She is the recipient of the 2010 Donald Everitt Axinn Contributor Scholarship in Poetry from the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, two poetry fellowships from The Gettysburg Review Conference for Writers, and the Peter Taylor Fellowship in Poetry at The Kenyon Review Writers’ Workshop. Maxwell Snyder is the founder and director of the Sotto Voce Poetry Festival. She received an MA in Spanish and Latin American literature from The Johns Hopkins University and a PhD in Spanish medieval literature from the University of Manchester.
