Casey Clabough is the author of the novel Confederado (Ingalls/High Mountain, 2012), a creative nonfiction work, The Warrior’s Path: Reflections Along an Ancient Route (University of Tennessee Press, 2007), and five scholarly books on Appalachian and southern writing, including Inhabiting Contemporary Southern and Appalachian Literature (University Press of Florida, 2012). His work appears in Creative Nonfiction, The Virginia Quarterly Review, Sewanee Review, and many others. Clabough received the 2013 Bangladesh International Literary Award. He is also the recipient of a Brazilian Artists Grant and several US-based fellowships. He serves as literature editor for the Encyclopedia Virginia and as editor of the James Dickey Review. Clabough is an associate professor of English at Lynchburg College. His eighth book, a biography of George Garrett, will appear later in 2013.
