Nina Paley is an American cartoonist and an activist for free culture. She is the illustrator of the comic strips Nina’s Adventures and Fluff, and her most recent comic strip, Mimi & Eunice debuted in 2010. She made the world’s first camera-less IMAX film in 1999, Pandorama. Her film Sita Sings the Blues (2008) was the recipient of many awards, including Best Animated Film from the Talking Pictures Festival. “This Land Is Mine” is part of her feature-length work-in-progress, Seder-Masochism.
