Victoria C. Flanagan is a second-year MFA student in poetry and nonfiction at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she serves as the lead associate editor for Blackbird. She holds a BA in English and BFA in creative writing from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. This is her first publication.
