Emily Nemens is the author of two chapbooks, most recently the cross-genre project Butcher Papers (Sibling Rivalry Press, 2014). Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in The Gettysburg Review, n+1, Los Angeles Review of Books, Esquire, Hobart, and The Iowa Review. Her debut novel, The Cactus League, was published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux in 2020. She has received scholarships to attend the Disquiet International Literary Program in Lisbon, the Sewanee Writers’ Conference, and TENT: Creative Writing at the Yiddish Book Center. She has had residencies at the Hermitage Artist Retreat, the Kerouac Project of Orlando, and Denniston Hill. She is the editor of The Paris Review.
