Becky Hagenston is an Assistant Professor of
English at Mississippi State University. Her stories have appeared
in TriQuarterly, Shenandoah, The Southern Review,
The Gettysburg Review, and other journals, as well as in
Prize Stories: The O. Henry Awards (1996). Her collection
of stories, A Gram of Mars (1998), won Sarabande Books' Mary
McCarthy Prize in Short Fiction. She is currently at work on a novel
and another collection of stories.
