Beth Bachmann's poems have recently appeared or are forthcoming in The Southern Review, the Antioch Review, Image, and Prairie Schooner, among other journals. She was the recipient of a Tennessee Williams Scholarship for the 2004 Sewanee Writers' Conference and winner of this year's American Poet Prize, sponsored by The American Poetry Journal. A graduate of the Johns Hopkins MA program, she teaches creative writing at Vanderbilt University.
