Sandra Beasley’s poetry has appeared or is forthcoming in Gargoyle, Cimarron Review, Reed, Meridian, Rhino, Poet Lore, 32 Poems, and other journals. She serves on the board of The Word Works in Washington, D.C., and on the editorial staff of The American Scholar. Her work has been featured on Verse Daily, and was included in the 2005 Best New Poets anthology. She has received fellowships from the Indiana University Writer’s Conference, the Jenny McKean Moore Workshop in Washington, Vermont Studio Center, the Millay Colony for the Arts, and the Virginia Center for Creative Arts.
