Laura Van Prooyen’s first book of poems is Inkblot and Altar (Pecan Grove Press, 2006). Her work also appears or is forthcoming in 32 Poems, Barrow Street, The Greensboro Review, Slate,and Sou’wester. Van Prooyen has won a Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Prize and has received grants from the American Association of University Women (AAUW) and the Money for Women/Barbara Deming Memorial Fund.
