Ron Smith’s most recent book of poetry is Moon Road (Louisiana State University Press, 2007). He is also the author of Running Again in Hollywood Cemetery (University Presses of Florida, 1988). Smith has been recently anthologized by Helen Vendler, David Lynn, and James Smith in volumes issued by Bedford Books, The Kenyon Review, and University of Arkansas Press. He has poems forthcoming in Shenandoah and in a bilingual anthology soon to appear in Italy. “Rome Obsession,” his essay-review of ten books about Rome, appeared last year in The Georgia Review. Smith is Writer-in-Residence at St. Christopher’s School in Richmond, Virginia, and he teaches in the Master of Liberal Arts Program at the University of Richmond.
