Natalie Sypolt’s work has appeared in various journals, including The Queen City Review, flashquake, Potomac Review, The Oklahoma Review, and Kestrel. She is the 2009 winner of both the West Virginia Fiction Award (Shepherd University) and the Betty Gabehart Prize (Kentucky Women’s Writers Conference). She received her MFA in fiction from West Virginia University in 2005, where she currently teaches writing.
