Julie Hensley is the author of a chapbook of poems, The Language of Horses (Finishing Line Press, 2011). Her work has appeared in Redivider, PMS poemmemoirstory, Indiana Review, Quarterly West, Superstition Review, and The Pinch. She won the Emerging Writers Contest from the Southern Women Writers Conference for both fiction, in 2005, and poetry, in 2009. Her cycle of stories, Landfall, won the 2006 Everett Southwest Literature Award.
