Jennifer Givhan is the author of three poetry collections: GIRL WITH DEATH MASK (forthcoming from Indiana University Press, 2018), which won the 2017 Blue Light Book Prize; Protection Spell (University of Arkansas Press, 2017), which received the Miller Williams Poetry Prize; and Landscape with Headless Mama (Louisiana State University Press, 2016), which received the 2015 Pleiades Editors’ Prize. Givhan’s work has appeared in Best of the Net, Best New Poets, Poetry Daily, Verse Daily, Ploughshares, POETRY, TriQuarterly, Boston Review, AGNI, and the Kenyon Review. Her honors include a 2015 National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship, a 2010 PEN/Rosenthal Emerging Voices Fellowship, the 2015 Frost Place Latin@ Scholarship, the 2015 Lascaux Prize, the 2017 Greg Grummer Poetry Contest prize, and the 2015 Pinch Literary Award for poetry.
