1918 Suite: What Was Not His to Keep
Ethel Anderson served with the Army Nurse Corps in France—Base Hospital No. 44, Evacuation Hospital No. 5—from April 1918 to the end of World War I, shipping home on April 13, 1919. The scrapbook and diary she kept during her time spent overseas offers a glimpse into the lives and camaraderie of nurses during WWI and documents the important work of women during the war.
