Debra Nystrom is the author of four collections of poetry: Night Sky Frequencies: New and Selected Poems (Sheep Meadow Press, 2016), Bad River Road (Sarabande Books, 2009), Torn Sky (Sarabande Books, 2003), and A Quarter Turn (Sheep Meadow Press, 1991). Her poetry, fiction, and nonfiction have appeared in Conjunctions, The Kenyon Review, The New Yorker, and Ploughshares, among others, and have received awards from Five Points, the Library of Virginia, Shenandoah, the Virginia Commission for the Arts, and The Virginia Quarterly Review. Nystrom teaches in the MFA program at the University of Virginia and is currently at work on a memoir, You Didn’t Hear It From Me.
