Mary Cresswell is from Los Angeles, California, though she has lived in New Zealand for many years. She is a science editor and a poet. Her new book, Trace Fossils, is forthcoming. She has published in print and online journals in New Zealand, the United States, Australia, and Canada, and is co-author of Millionaire's Shortbread, a joint collection of New Zealand poetry (University of Otago Press, 2003).
