Henry Hart’s most recent poetry collection is Background Radiation (Salt Publishing, 2007). He is also the author of two other books of poetry, The Rooster Mask: Poems (UP Illinois, 1998) and The Ghost Ship (Foxrock, 1990), as well as critical studies of Seamus Heaney, Robert Lowell, and Geoffrey Hill. His biography James Dickey: The World as a Lie (Picador, 2001) was runner-up for the Southern Book Critics’ Circle Award.
