Writer-in-Residence at St. Christopher’s School, Ron Smith also occasionally teaches courses in poetry writing and American literature at the University of Richmond. His poetry collections are Running Again in Hollywood Cemetery (University Presses of Florida, 1988) and Moon Road (forthcoming from Louisiana State University Press). He was the recipient of the $10,000 Carole Weinstein Prize in Poetry in 2006. His prose pieces and poems have appeared previously in Blackbird and in The Nation, The Kenyon Review, The Virginia Quarterly Review, The Georgia Review, Kansas Quarterly, The Southern Review, New England Review, as well as a number of other periodicals and anthologies. He is the regular poetry reviewer for the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
