Robert Thomas’ latest poetry collection is Dragging the Lake (Carnegie Mellon University Press, 2006). His poems have appeared in The Atlantic Monthly, FIELD, The Iowa Review, New England Review, and The Southern Review. His first collection, Door to Door (Fordham University Press, 2002) was selected by Yusef Komunyakaa as winner of Fordham’s Poets Out Loud Prize. Thomas received a 2003 poetry fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. “Vanishing Point” is from a new manuscript titled The Slashed Sleeve.
