KIMBERLY L. BECKER

Kimberly L. Becker is the author of two collections of poetry from WorldTech Editions: The Dividings (2014) and Words Facing East (2011). Becker was the recipient of a 2011 Individual Artist Award in Poetry from the Maryland State Arts Council, and she has been the recipient of a Hambidge creative residency. Her poetry has appeared in Drunken Boat’s folio “Native American Women’s Poetry” and in Women Write Resistance: Poets Resist Gender Violence, an anthology from Hyacinth Girl Press (2013). Becker contributed to Indigenous Message on Water (Indigenous World Forum on Water and Peace, 2014). Her reviews and essays have been published in Blackbird, Eclectica Magazine, Yellow Medicine Review, and Talking Stick Native Arts Quarterly. Her fiction has appeared in the Dead Mule School of Southern Literature and SNReview. Becker writes for the Cherokee Youth in Radio Project, adapting traditional Cherokee stories into plays.  end
