Rebecca Black’s first collection of poems, Cottonlandia (University of Massachusetts Press, 2005), won the 2004 Juniper Prize. Black was a 2011 inaugural Fulbright visiting professor at the Seamus Heaney Center for Poetry in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She was also a National Endowment for the Arts fellow and a Wallace Stegner fellow. Her poems have appeared in AGNI, New England Review, Meridian, and Shenandoah, among others. She has taught at several universities, most recently in the MFA program at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
