Jacqueline Balderrama’s work has appeared or is forthcoming in Mead, Into the Teeth of the Wind, Cactus Heart, and Southern Humanities Review. She received first place in the 2012–2013 Ina Coolbrith Memorial Poetry Prize, conducted by the University of California-Berkeley, and several Virginia G. Piper House Global Fellowships from Arizona State University. She earned a BA from the University of California, Riverside, and is an MFA candidate in poetry at Arizona State University, where she serves as poetry editor for Hayden’s Ferry Review.
