Henry Hart is the author of four collections of poetry, most recently Familiar Ghosts (Orchises Press, 2014) and a forthcoming biography of Robert Frost (Blackwell-Wiley, 2016). He is the author of several critical works on twentieth-century poets, including James Dickey: The World as Lie (St. Martin’s/Picador, 2000), The James Dickey Reader (Simon & Schuster, 1999), Robert Lowell and the Sublime (Syracuse University Press, 1995), Seamus Heaney: Poet of Contrary Progressions (Syracuse University Press, 1991), and The Poetry of Geoffrey Hill (Southern Illinois University Press, 1986). His poetry has appeared in Best American Poetry, The New Yorker, The Kenyon Review, and the Virginia Quarterly Review, among others. Hart received the Carole Weinstein Poetry Prize in 2010. He is the Mildred and J.B. Hickman Professor of English and Humanities at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.
