Eric Torgersen’s latest collection of poems is Heart. Wood. (Word Press, 2012). He has published four other books and two chapbooks of poetry, two novellas, and Dear Friend: Rainer Maria Rilke and Paula Modersohn-Becker (Northwestern University Press, 1998). His translations of Nicolas Born have appeared in Modern Poetry in Translation, Michigan Quarterly Review, FIELD, and Exquisite Corpse. Torgersen is professor emeritus of English, Central Michigan University.
