Kwoya Fagin Maples is the author of the chapbook Something of Yours (Finishing Line Press, 2010). Her current manuscript, MEND, is forthcoming from the University Press of Kentucky in 2018 and is a finalist for the Robert Dana Anhinga Poetry Prize. Her work has been published in several journals and anthologies, including The African American Review, pluck!, The Birmingham Poetry Review, and The Sow’s Ear Poetry Review. Maples received a grant from the Rockefeller Brothers Foundation. She is a Cave Canem Fellow and a Homeschool Lambda Literary Fellow. Maples teaches creative writing at the Alabama School of Fine Arts.
