Edward Hower is the author of eight novels and two collections of short stories, including Slick (Cayuga Lake Books, 2012), The Storms of May (Ontario Review Press, 2005), and A Garden of Demons (Ontario Review Press, 2003). He is also the author of The Pomegranate Princess and Other Tales from India (Wayne State University Press, 1991), a book of collected folk tales. He is the recipient of fellowships and grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, and the Fulbright Program. His work has appeared in The Atlantic, The New York Times, Smithsonian, The American Scholar, The Southern Review, and elsewhere.
