Brian Teare is the author of Companion Grasses (Omnidawn Publishing, 2013), Pleasure (Ahsahta Press, 2010), which won the Lambda Literary Award, Sight Map (University of California Press, 2009), and The Room Where I Was Born (University of Wisconsin Press, 2003). He has received fellowships and grants from the MacDowell Colony, the American Antiquarian Society, the Headlands Center for the Arts, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Teare is an assistant professor at Temple University and makes books by hand for his micropress, Albion Books.
