Tyler Mills is the author of Tongue Lyre, which won the 2011 Crab Orchard Series in Poetry First Book Award (Southern Illinois University Press, 2013). Her poetry has appeared in AGNI, The Georgia Review, Prairie Schooner, and TriQuarterly Online, among others. Mills received the 2009 Richard Peterson Poetry Prize from Crab Orchard Review, the 2008 Third Coast Poetry Prize, and the 2006 Gulf Coast Prize in Poetry. She earned an MFA in creative writing from the University of Maryland and is currently a PhD candidate in the Program for Writers at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
