Paramita Banerjee’s work has appeared in The Telegraph, Desh, and numerous other literary journals. Her work in translation includes novels from the late Samaresh Basu for Penguin India. She has served as an editor for Orient Longman (now Orient Blackswan) and taught philosophy at Muralidhar Girls’ College in South Kolkata. She is the director of Diksha West Bengal, which provides social services for Kalighat and Kihdirpur. She earned an MA in mental and moral philosophy from the University of Calcutta and a PhD in social philosophy from Jadavpur University.
